Dear reader, the only thing Buddhist about this short story is that it illustrates the first noble truth (“There is suffering”.) The conclusion afterwards is Buddhist though.
Beste lezer, het enige Boeddhistische aan dit kortverhaal is dat ze de eerste nobele waarheid aantoont (“Er is lijden.”). De conclusie erna is echter wel Boeddhistisch.
